EMBROIDERY FROM HIGH FASHION
The specific course aims to teach the embroidery of the world of Milanese and Parisian Fashion Houses; we will illustrate the world of catwalks, the use of suitable elements, and thus leave room for the imagination of each student, who will then be able to make what he or she has drawn and then bring it back to the work loom.
Finally, he will be able to compare, with the help of video footage, his work with those that are presented at high fashion events.
ARTISTIC EMBROIDERY
The world of embroidery is not only haute couture, but also an artistic facet that goes back to painting and sculpture.
Lecturer Svetlana Tkachenko devotes many days of her professional life to traveling, learning, discovering; and she often finds inspiration for her achievements from the most incredible and unthinkable situations: from the wrought-iron work on a gate in Strasbourg, to a painting of a manor house in Prague, from mosaic reproductions of the famous Moscow Metro to a simple panoramic landscape in Austria's Romantische Strasse.
